a few things to cure your ennui.

I get bored at work, and you do too.

cures? :
--FACE accessories by David Toro and Solomon Chase.

Here is an exerpt from an interview with Dazed Digital:
Dazed Digital: What is the aim of FACE Projects?
Solomon & David: FACE explores temporary facial adornment as practical accessories and self-expression. We see the face as the most important part of our outer selves, the first part noticed, the most judged. We want to transform it unlike what is done with makeup or even cosmetic surgery. Our aim with FACE is to experiment with a paradox of utility and aesthetics, and develop products ranging from functional and wearable to extravagant and conceptual.

These are the kinds of people I want to be friends with. So great, because it's so ridiculous. My favorite is the "Reflector Face". Who's rocking that with me this weekend? Oh, and my anticipation for the "Reflector Brow" is peaked, with emphasis on 'ea'. I find it semi hard to believe that they are in all seriousness, but I think they may have something here. Or something.
(peep Tracy Morgan ! woooo)

--Not because I'm an avid reader of Curbain In a Coma, and not because grizzly bear's Ed Droste's voice makes my senes go into overloadddd. But because of both.
Have at his top 10 summer essentials via CIAC.

--Department of Eagles have released their newest single for their first EP "In Ear Park" for us enthusiasts who have been patiently waiting since they heard the first demo way back when. I don't know why I torture myself with who's voice I love better (Ed vs. Daniel), but I think I may have to go with Daniel. Possibly because I find him attractive. Anyway, if you'd like to take a looksy at the album art, that of which I adore for its subtle simplicity, go for it kid. You can dl Daniel's cover of Jojo's "Too Little, Too Late" (which made me love him more because, hey, I have no hate for Jojo) and their new single "No One Does It Like You" (the leaked one) at the above link. The new single makes me feel like I'm eating cake with pink icing in a polaroid park, and not gaining a single lick of weight.

--Soooo many late summer/early fall releases that my mind may explode. I can't keep up with all of the shows and releases and leaks and such. Makes my eyebrow muscles hurt. However, I am anticipating one release more than the others just because of the zanniness of the release as a whole. That zanniness is of none other than our ATL-iens, err, 'scuse me Athenians, of Montreal. And it's not their awesomely frightening garb they frequent that's so zany, it's all the freebs we get with the purchase of their new cd! Eek's and Yay's!
Read about it here. I call the wall decal.
p.s. you may want to peep some of the lyrics.

--Lastly.
For hours on end I stare at these sites. I don't think there will ever be a time that I won't be intrigued by other people's styles.
You want to be intrigued too? Oh, okay:
www.histyley.com<---it won't let me link this one for some reason.
the cool hunter.
hel-looks.

Those are three of my favorites because there are enough links and pictures to make your cornea's punch your retina's. And that hurts.

p.s. Shia in ksubi's = "utterly engrossing":
shia
shiaa
shiaaa
shiaaaa (that smile)
shiaaaaa
shiaaaaaa (those jeans)
shiaaaaaaa(mmm)
shiaaaaaaaa

shh, shh, shh. i know, i know. you're welcome.
